For those of you that don't know (all of you), I'm a glorified gardener and qualified groundworker. As such I have a slight obsession with chainsaws.
Two years ago my work colleague offered me an early 70's Stihl 08s that belonged to his late father. He just had to wait for probate to finish. Well two years later, having not mentioned anything since, he has told me I can come and pick up the Stihl 08s and a big Jonsered, as long as I bring the big trailer to help shift a load of other stuff.
I still think it's a rather unfair deal for him, and I cannot deny that I feel 17 again with the same nervous anxiety that I had when waiting to pick up my first car (MK1 Fiat Punto, ha!), but what I like most is that after 2 years he still remembers.
Can't wait to run that old mother through a nice bit of oak though!

chainsaws are fun. Last time I got drunk I ran around my cousins back yard cutting shit. It's not as bad as it sounds. I had fun and still have 10 fingers. We later set his lawn on fire smoking a turkey

That, for a chainsaw, is beautiful.

Yeh I love the writing. Not sure what condition it's in, so it may need a repaint, but i'll do a good job and make sure it gets use too
